Many organizations want to prioritize JEDI in principle, but do not implement it effectively in practice. In a post-pandemic world, employee morale (especially for BIPOC dealing with continious trauma), is at an all-time-low. Although organizations may make strides in recrutiment, they are still falling short in retention and leadership growth potential. There is a collective struggle around burn-out, unhealthy power-dynamics, disempowering workplace policies and so forth that are resulting in many employees to leave their place of employment in search of a better work culture. This will result in the ultimate failure of a business/ organization to thrive and sustain in the long term in an ever-evolving world that demands diversity of thought and active innovation.

We are focused on supporting organizations to expand beyond their comfort zones and to explore a variety of strategies and tactics to get into a solid long-term rhythm with their teams. We know that organizations cannot be healed over night by standard diversity, equity, and inclusion trainings. We believe that clarity, agency, and joy lies deep within individuals and that there needs to be a process rooted in transparency and reconnection in order to activate those gifts. Our practice is focused on culture change, storytelling, somatic healing, and power mapping that goes below-the-surface to cultivate long-term strategies for recruitment, retention, and communications.

Brown Girl Green
Kristy Drutman (she/her) is a Jewish - Filipino environmentalist, speaker, and JEDI consultant who uses storytelling and creativity to address diversity and inclusion gaps across the climate/ sustainability field. She hosts workshops and creates content for worldwide audiences as "Browngirl Green," and has 8+ years as an inclusive envrionmental educator in the industry.

Tianna Renee Arredondo (they/them) is a climate change generalist, artist, and facilitator. They offer think tank services as a strategist, somatic coach and popular education consultant to support leaders and organizations focused on climate change. They have over ten years of experience across sectors and disciplines focused on environmental justice.
