Work With Me Guide
Work With Me Guide
Please explore my boundaries, relational style and expectations for working with me below. Thank you for your time to explore if connecting is aligned for us.
-
I’m a generalist when it comes to the areas of expertise that my vocation includes. My time at university allowed me to leave with two degrees focused on public health administration - think running clinics, ph initiatives and informing policy; and mass communication and journalism - think narrative theory/strategy, campaigns, pr, advertising, marketing, journalism and film. My north start has been focused on creating systemic healing through creating points of activation and accountability for leaders. This has looked like founding initiatives and programs that are trauma-informed & sustainable.
Why do you have so many roles?
Like most working zillenials in the USA, I have always had multiple gigs to pay the bills. I chose to curate my focus on supporting in ways in which my roles in each org or project feed one another. I’ve always continued that pattern. If I have one full-time job as a researcher, I will be running retreats and coaching clients here and there. If I have a heavy client load I will not have a full-time job and only have a part-time gig here and there such as teaching in nature, advising on strategies for large organizations or working at a local farmers market to guide folks to local resources for somatic healing that are free! As a neurodivergent person I work with my energy levels to dictate my focus within my client and contractual agreements.
What projects do you enjoy doing most?
I enjoy working with clients, organizations and communities that want to be direct about what they want to feel, when and how so that I can enjoy the process and show up in a real way. I have enjoyed research projects, curriculum design and relational management the most. It has been so fun to connect organizations to amazing leaders that need funding, coaching to show up as a community partner or advising on how to optimize their organizational systems, culture or agreements to create more ease or launch inaugural projects.
What would collaboration look like?
Within any 1:1 client or contract agreement with an organization; I get very clear on budget, timeline and non-negotiable so that we can work to create clarity and map out what’s expected. From there we agree on meeting times and deliverables. Understanding out communication styles, capacity for work and context in life allows me to enjoy the collaboration and do good work. You can check out my career journey here.
What is mind-body somatic coaching all about?
Being alive has become a battle between attention, nutrition and complex trauma. I have studied and practiced mind-body modalities for a decade now and work with 1:1 clients to learn how to create boundaries, face fears and move through life with clarity on how to remain present enough to make more healing choices. I also serve as a grief doula, relationship mirror, creative director and logistics coordinator for clients that need that support. With organizations I use my skills to heal relationships that need mending, support managers to create supportive work plans and project maps so that all needs can be met on a team. I also work with organizations to create culture through producing events, creating media, building partnership and advising on strategic means of collaboration to support all involved having their needs met in abundance.
What is a ‘container’?
A container is a time and space that is contained by specific agreements and goals. With clients and contracts I work to create the most optimal situations and agreements for complexity to be navigated through with ease and grace. It’s never about “winning” or “fast tracking healing” if that is a byproduct great. I am focused on supporting clients and communities alike to remain nourished, clear and in a process of non-closure as they move closer to embodying or completing their goals.
-
I work from the foundation of balance that is created from my genuinely curious healing framework that balances managing: sensation in the nervous system, narratives in the mind, reflection on past behaviors or archives and receiving feedback about how one is projecting themselves or moving through/showing up in the world.
What are your workshops like?
I show up for four key functions and create offerings based on those requests or combine methods for custom requests: 1. Emotional Simulations: if you or your team is wanting to learn new emotional skills I create containers to practice using new skills so that you can more usefully integrate them into your day to day life in the ways you need to for your mind-body context, 2. Narrative or Strategy Planning: if you or your org are looking for support to get clear on what you want, what is needed, or what is unseen that needs attention - I can support with that using visual scribing, exercises and strategic planning, 3. Audits: if you are working with time and need immediate help on optimizing content, workflow, reports, research taxonomies, etc. - I can support with that! (usually on a tight turnaround to maximum of 3 year timeline. I can be open to longer contracts), 4. Coaching and Relationship Management: if you need a coach who will be firm yet kind to you so you can move through tough transitions, “stickiness,” in work or home, or guide you though expansion that brings up old wounds/new problems - will design a journey to support you or your team in staying with the program, while growing, having their needs met and moving the ball forward.
What are your retreats like?
How should I prepare for a session, project, or collaboration?
Do you work with organizations, companies, or institutions? If so, how?
How do you measure impact or define success in your work?
-
I have healed from burnout almost five times now. Below are my guidelines to support me in doing work I love, while staying healthy and grounded.
What are you not willing to work on?
Projects that involve a lack of transparency, unclear leadership, or toxic work dynamics.
Who are you not willing to work with?
Anyone who is not accommodating to neurodivergent accommodation needs such as timeline mapping, reducing superfluous conversation that is not directly related to said work focus or leaders who are anti-horizontal aka collaborative leadership.
Do you offer free emotional labor, advice, or ‘pick your brain’ sessions?
No. If you want to pick my brain you may do so if you email me a summary of what you want to know or have completed and I can quote you for the project. If I had a dollar for the amount of interviews or initiatives I have worked on that involved “vetting,” complete with multiple work samples AND “brain picking rapid response interviewing regarding my specialties” i’d be so, so, so, so, so - wealthy! If you are looking to meet with me as a potential 1:1 client you will be expected to pay a session fee for our discovery session to see if we’re a good fit. If you want to work with me as a contracted or ft/pt employee you can send an email with budget, duration, scope and vision so that I can make an informed decision about moving forward.
Are you a therapist? Does this replace therapy?
No and NO. I’m an integrationist by practice. I work with clients to help them integrate what they already know and need support getting curious about so they can embody it and design their health, creative and relational routines in a way that heals trauma patterns and makes space for new possibilities and identities. Every client has a goal such as: rebuild my life after death/divorce/career change, move from hyper-independence to sovereign-interdependence. I work with healers, seers, leaders, lovers and achievers who are seeking to retrain their nervous system into guiding their body into nourishing choices as they undo learned helplessness, confusion and delayed action caused by never being seem, mirrored or met in the most essential ways they need on their terms.
What is your approach to sovereignty and relational ethics?
I facilitate my containers and contracts centered around agency, consent and durability. Ensuring that what we agree on is within context, clear and able to be continued through in a way that will allow everyone to be themselves. I do not embrace pathologies, I ask questions to support you on feeling what’s true for you. Every client has HIPPA waivers include in their care and contracts include non-disclosure agreements so that employers can protect their IP and process outside of our work. Everyone involved knows what is protected and what is not before engaging in a relationship.
How do you integrate spirituality without bypassing reality?
With practicality, wisdom and patience. Acceptance is not fun or cozy - ever really. I help to maintain or sever connections where it is needed so that what is emerging can be supported and acknowledged.
What is your refund, rescheduling, or cancellation policy?
If you cancel with less than 72 hours the full fee is expected to be paid. I do not allow refunds. I am always open to rescheduling before the 72 hours. If we reschedule post 72 hours it will be expected you will pay the missed session fee, unless you have a pre-paid coaching package we’re working with.
-
How can I support you or your work?
I’m open to storytelling projects, research roles, program management and curriculum design. I’m working on releasing a second set of seven self-healing decks and studio show. I’m currently open to any and all donations to support art making, research and professional advancement.
Do you offer sliding scale or accessibility practices?
I do operate on a sliding scale based on financial need. $80 - $120 per session for low income, $150 - $190 per session for stable income and $300 per session for abundant income levels. I am open to working for a workshop fee minimum of $250 for 2 hours and accept contracts that are 5-6 figures as well. As mentioned earlier I purposefully flow in and out of working ft with less coaching clients, holding a few contracts and a few coaching clients or working with many coaching clients and less or no contracts. My sliding scale exists to provide myself and others flow as most of my clients are neurodivergent as well.
What is your availability and response time?
I am available seven days a week and will respond within 48 hours. My availability fluctuates based on commitments and clients and I manage my flow through email contact and google calendar.
Do you protect client confidentiality?
Yes coaching clients are protected by HIPPA and when i’m an employee or contractor there is often an NDA or IP agreement protecting us both.

How did you end up in this career path?
I originally wanted to help restructure the health care system in the USA. When I began leading in those roles I realized we need 1:1 support, direct communication and communal care systems. So I pursued my internal healing while leading in roles that felt relevant to that journey. My focus became nervous system healing, programming, curriculum designs and events because through these means of connection I began seeing results that I was told couldn’t happen. So I continue this path because it always leads me to where I belong as myself, where I can serve and where I can thrive financially as well.
What philosophies or lineages inform your work?
My genuinely curious healing framework was birthed out of my ancestral and community practices being adapted to match my neurodivergent needs. This includes my areas of research: narrative theory, public health, art healing, research design, somatic healing and sustainable human design. I do also rely on astrology and human design.
What should people know about working with a multidisciplinary strategist?
I’m a calm nerd. I just enjoy getting to support projects and people that are familiar and easeful to work with in both directions. I invite feedback and enjoy seeing how we all grow and what we achieve working together.
Can I interview you for my podcast, event, or publication?
Please be conscious of my time and energy. If you are wanting to connect for an interview please email me at tianna@genuinelycurious.blog with details about your intention, where the story would be shared, if it’s paid, barter/trade or collaboration. This way I can assess how much energy I can give. I’ve learned the hard way when it’s free the process of editing, meetings and collecting artifacts can be long drawn out and stressful. I’m flexible around what’s possible and can commit more easily when I understand what’s required of each of us and how you imagine the process going. Thanks in advance for being so thoughtful!
-
Because all of my work involves depth and focus I have clear energy boundaries that I cannot falter on:
How do you maintain grounding and energetic hygiene in this work?
I only work with clients that are accountable, self-aware and resourced enough to have me on their care team. I don’t take clients that aim to see me as the only support in their life or the sole provider of therapeutic care. When it comes to employers or organizations/communities I contract with I only work with clear agreements when it comes to my time management. I do not work well with roles that purposefully will grab time on my cal with 10 min warnings or ask me to cancel my previous agreements for their unplanned urgency unless I am paid extra or allowed to rest in equal proportion on my terms. When it comes to retreats and gatherings I will schedule, “boredom.” This has looked like 2-6 hours gaps of time where everyone on the team is required to be bored, under stimulated, gym time, art - rest away from the work.
How do somatics, storytelling, strategy, and systems design fit together in your practice?
I weave all three in all I do as a guide for optimizing ease and embodiment.
What values guide your containers, collaborations, and creative work?
Transparency, humanity, complexity, rigor, humor, creativity, compassion, acceptance and direct communication
-
Having worked, lead, served, created and collaborated within so many spaces, sectors and systems: i’ve learned misalignment is what ruins the overall feel of a dynamic. I have always worked for people I know I respect, admire and enjoy. I am a genuine, curious and direct communicator who has lots of energy and clarity to offer. I prefer to feel safe, feel belonging and feel ease in my day to day and I’ve learned that being upfront and negotiating strengths and weaknesses allows me to have this experience of grounding so I can produce vital work products, experiences and guide dynamic transformation processes.
Please be clear I have lived on land projects, been in multiple work settings and support cultural work in various communities. These realizations came from lots of failing (flailing) through unexpected challenges, with other dedicated to being transparent to try workable solutions. Turns our upfront transparency and boundary negotiation was my personal forever workable solution.
