What remains, rearranged: a visual essay on learning safety in pieces.

Memory is never as clear as the human mind would prefer. For me, photography has always been a way of capturing the feeling of moments I wish to remember or revisit. For many years I chose presence over documentation, resisting the impulse to record everything. About five years ago, I began taking photographs only in moments I deeply felt and appreciated. Now, as I research state-based intimacies and explore the ways the nervous system responds to intimacy as a healing modality, I find myself returning to these images. Editing photographs from memories where I experienced safety, relearning, and expansion has become part of how I integrate what I am learning. This corner of my website will serve as an active visual essay documenting my research journey.
