what are self-healing decks?

  • a self-healing deck is a collection of prompts, paintings, and poems that support you in your healing journey. each deck has a specialized theme surrounding emotional alchemy. when you work with a deck you can begin to create your own healing archive of wisdom and realizations that you can resist to support your healing. you can also share these wisdoms with family, loved ones and community to support their healing as well. you can read more about the different themes associated with each deck if you scroll down to the emotional alchemy deck section below.

  • in families there are shared recipes, financial management tools, cleaning habits, and other unique traits that are shared. one important sharing of information that is not always so prioritized is emotional regulation and mental belief systems. due to the responsibility and pressures involved with of surviving and sustaining life - many families didn’t have time, ability or support to share their wisdom with their people. a healing archive is a collection of realizations, experiences, memories, and wisdoms that you create to support your own healing so that you can share it one day with people you love and want to support. self-healing decks exist to support you and your community in cultivating your own emotional alchemy tools.

  • emotional alchemy is the action of taking your inner-contents of beliefs, ideas, abilities, differences, traumas, visions, and dreams and working with them to change them into what you want them to truly be. many times feelings cloud our judgment and beliefs holding us back from taking opportunities. lack of self-reflection can hinder curiosity being cultivated. emotional alchemy is made up of practices of devotion that bring you into deeper intimacy with your inner-worlds (feelings, dreams, trauma, etc.) to change them into what can support your - life regardless of the contents. emotional alchemy work is about becoming intimate with what is through creating your life from a place of deep awareness and trust. instead of accepting a circumstance internally as unchangeable, working with these decks can support you in cultivating more agency and peace in your life.

  • working with the decks helps you to create a deeper intimacy with your inner-workings such as: beliefs, emotions, traumas, somatic self and co-regulation, and more. every person that has used the decks or had a 1:1 reading with tianna has reported more transparent and easeful relationships with themselves and others. these decks serve you to get curious about your own circumstances, contexts and contents of your inner-worlds.

  • pull a card when you wake up or go to bed… journal with these cards as a self-care practice… start a healing circle with loved ones… pull a card when you are stuck… pull cards with a loved one to learn more about each other and work through complex feelings or situations. these cards are self-care tools that help you cultivate more agency and ability to regulate your inner-worlds and be with what is for you regardless of the situation. these decks support you to design your behavior and life for you, by you.

why and how i created the decks

attempting to integrate learnings into new behavioral patterns and beliefs can feel impossible because of the impacts of systemic power and oppression, ancestral trauma, and proximity to access (income, toxic workplace, overworking to survive, mental health duress, physical needs, etc.).

many days it feels impossible to move through life and imagine a more peaceful and abundant life with so much pain, poverty, and problems in this world that can seem out of our control. i began creating decks for my own mental health as i worked on climate change initiatives non-stop locally, nationally and globally.

i was constantly examining the binaries between: heart wisdom versus somatic wisdom, truths versus trauma stories, ritual versus relationship, and what can be offered versus what can be received. i noticed what it felt like to exist between where we want to be and where we are.

i used these decks as small steps to support a slow pace of healing though noticing. i examined my mind in contrast to my body’s wisdom. i committed to learning how to work with ego while embracing my vulnerability.

deck work supported me in accepting where i am, accepting what the teams i work with are capable of, and learning how to offer myself and others grace as much as possible.

my decks are here to remind you that you are not only - not alone - you are deeply interconnected to the web of life through all that you offer. you are not, too late. you are exactly where you are. learning what’s real is important, it’s what’s real that can be accepted and worked with. my decks support you in getting really curious about what’s genuine for you, on your own terms - in your own way.

what are the emotional alchemy deck themes?

  • in society there are messages being communicated to you at all times: on your phone, online, advertisements, microagressions, peoples ideas of who you should be and more. the lies no one told you deck, walks you through a process of acknowledging what lies are possibly floating around inside of your consciousness and how to work with them to live into your truths.

  • as you work to dissolve untruths and projections it is only natural to have feelings of guilt and shame arise as you realize the ways you’ve been behaving and not expressing yourself. the guilt and shame deck offers poems and paintings to support you to release what it is you are holding onto, to stop proving yourself to yourself and others, to just - live

  • as you learn more about yourself and your motivations there will come a time to begin to work with how you create boundaries and how you affirm yourself to create more curiosity in your life. movement: affirmations to keep you in flow is a deck of questions and prompts to help you move through creating the change you want in life.

  • integration processes for learning after new experiences or realizations can be hard to make space for among the business of life. the both/and deck offers you prompts and insights that invite you to deepen into what it means to be with two things that are contradictory. this helps you to avoid extremes and supports you to keep going even when the change feels unbearable.

  • when it is time to change in life usually our being wants to stop this change. this can manifest as self-sabotage. the transgressed deck offers reminders of how to avoid sabotaging yourself, even when it seems unbearable.

  • as you come into a new way of living in a more full way, there must be space for grief. grief of what could have been, what is in contrast to what would have been, and grief for what you may not know. the altar deck offers you prompts to support you in creating grief rituals so that you can create a regular practice for sadness and despair that you may feel in life.

  • finally, as you live into more clear and calm ways of living when it is time to change again you may experience thoughts of insecurity and fear. the secure deck offers expansive prompts to help you move through imagining expansive possibilities in your life that you might not be able to imagine in a state of anxiety. this deck is a kind reminder of all of the ways you can find new paths instead of choosing what may harm, hinder, or shrink you in attempts to find more safety in life.

this collection of self-healing decks offers seven unique decks that take you through the process of emotional alchemy. the process of alchemy is about transforming something from one state to another. lead to gold. pain to presence. chaos to clarity. these decks support you to change the reality you experience inside of yourself, so that you can live more of the reality you long for. read about each deck’s theme by exploring the drop down menu to the right.
