Tianna Renee Arredondo (they/them)

Here I am, here you are….another about me page. You may have clicked here to read all about my trauma, unfortunately for you - you came to the right place. For those who don’t like stories, here’s my CV...

It’s no secret that growing up Black, Mexican, Trans, Queer and Disabled leads to life rich with experiences that make me feel way more human than I’d prefer. I’ve spent most of my life between Northern and Central California [Ohlone and Yokut Territory] deeply impacted by my family's legacy of living within unchangeable situations. I don’t need to be the one to tell you that the confluence of these identities leads to some challenging and sometimes unthinkable situations. To ensure the survival of myself, my family and my community I’ve been a caretaker, provider, athlete, artist, thinker, researcher and community builder. These are the things that keep me engaged in the world.

As a young person, experiences navigating my parents' battles within the healthcare system, organizing, higher education, service work and participating in faith ministry all made an impression on me. Wins took years or sometimes wouldn’t come at all. Deaths often felt like openings - unclear if they marked an ending or a beginning - that I wish never had to happen. I’ve understood at a young age there was always more than one answer to a problem.  I’ve seen the ways that meeting everyone's needs can make a miracle of what most of us couldn’t comprehend. I’ve realized in the last several years the most life-giving things come when we focus inwards: into our communities, personal lives and relationships. This knowledge is what led me to create my Genuinely Curious consulting frameworks, self-healing tools and somatic education as an effort to work between sectors and spaces offering strategic sanctuary to do, “the work,” that is most needed.

The earth was here long before us all and will be here long after the internet is gone. In a world that is ruled by connectivity, trends and judgment - I offer that we pause for reconnection to adapt to what’s real.

Right now my best friend is helping me rewrite my own bio, which supports my point…. Genuine connections are what we each need to build internal tools to be our most nourished selves so we can sustain our communities and our commitments. As a consultant, coach and creator my goal is to stay curious about the connections, stories and pathways the data takes me on. This allows me to connect to a team and leave them curious as to how something can be so much easier than they once believed. This is the work in my opinion.

We’ll never know why but we can always feel what’s genuine. That’s what I’m here for.
