the deeper journey

welcome to my online soul cafe. if you’re here, it means you’re curious, and this is where i open up about the journey that grounds my work.

i’m non-binary, black, mexican, queer, and disabled. i grew up between northern and central california [ohlone and yokut territory], in a family that taught me resilience inside circumstances that felt unchangeable. being the eldest sibling, caretaker, and cultural worker shaped me into someone who learned early how to hold complexity and search for what’s true.

my journey has included navigating my parents’ battles within the healthcare system, deaths, working in organizing, ministry, higher education, non-profits, corporate culture and service work. i’ve witnessed the ways grief, love, creativity, and community care can create small miracles in places where resources are scarce. these experiences showed me that there is rarely just one answer to a problem — and that healing often begins when we turn inward, toward our bodies, our relationships, and our communities.

healing pathways

along the way, i’ve healed major chronic pain through ancestral practices, designing ease and rest into my life, and refusing to let urgency or grind culture direct or define me. learning the nuances of my neurodivergence has allowed me to create systems of care that carry me through everything from overstimulation to trauma flare-ups. apprenticing with somatic teachers and earth-based healing rooted in my lineages has given me tools to keep my nervous system grounded and clear, no matter what is happening within me or around me.

artistry as medicine

i was always encouraged to pursue an arts career, but for a long time i focused on taking care of my family and only made art to support my own and my communities’ mental and spiritual health. i thought it “didn’t count” because it lived in the grey space between therapy and creativity. but after almost a decade of holding community healing gatherings, creating journaling guides and bodies of research, and making more than 300 paintings and poems, i realized — oops, i was already doing the thing. art, flow, and community creation are at the heart of how i move.

community legacy

while i am the creator of all i offer, none of this happens in isolation. i have been in deep relationships that involve accountability, truth telling, and designing boundaries that help me evolve beyond limitations. i’ve learned to work within my capacity — without hurting myself, others, or burning out. i’m forever grateful to and in dedication of my work to the community, clients, and chosen family who keep me rooted in reality and in my vision for how to facilitate care in a rapidly changing world.

commitment to sovereignty

when i speak of sovereignty, i mean nervous system sovereignty. my work is about creating custom containers and offerings that support self-regulation and self-acceptance, making space for deeper self-intimacy and self-accountability. this foundation allows people to stay in their truths, take care of their needs, and show up to loved ones and commitments with more clarity, boundary, and grace — infusing more care and commitment into the communities we belong to.

  • transformational coaching frameworks that center ability, context, and generational trauma

  • five+ years of study and practice in human design, astrology, and the gene keys

the earth was here long before us and will remain long after the internet is gone. in a world ruled by trends, judgment, and noise, i invite us to pause, reconnect, and adapt to what’s real.

we may never know why, but we can always feel what’s genuine. that’s what i’m here for. that’s what i’m focusing on.
